The Problem Phase

Problem Phase

During this stage, students will be provided the following resources with contextual details so that they can comprehend the process of design thinking by actually confronting with the lesson design issues or engaging in dialogues with the teacher or student developers. Through studying in the design thinking curriculum, students are guided to develop lessons with independent thinking that illustrate pedagogical judgement.

'Make Your Ideas Tangible'

This activity is designed for enhancing students’ pedagogical judgement. This is a key activity that links students to a sequence of design-thinking process. It initially asks students to make comments on a given lesson plan.

Activity Guide:

  1. Students are assigned to read a traditional lesson plan of a relevant subject discipline in details.
  2. Students discuss in groups to review the assigned lesson plan using the lesson review form of relevant subject.
  3. Students post their lesson review forms under the correct subject column in Padlet.
  4. Each student gives ‘likes’ and ‘comments’ to the posts of the peer groups after reading their revision.
