To all visitors who sign in (via Active Classroom credential / via your institution's credential)

Active Classroom ("AClass", "We", "Us", "Our") will send over and store several cookies in your browser in the following situation:

  • Confirmation of reading the Use of Cookie (this page) and EdUHK privacy policy
    A short cookie will be stored. It is complementary and is only used to indicate you have read the message.
    The cookie does not contain any personally identifiable information and cannot be traced back to you.
  • Logging into an AClass account (regardless of the credential you use)
    A randomly-generated session cookie will be stored. It is necessary for you to access certain functionalities and/or contents on AClass.
    The cookie does not contain any personally identifiable information, is used by the AClass website only, and will not be exchanged with other parties.
    The cookie will be stored in your browser for the duration of your login session. You can remove this cookie by logging out.
  • Logging into AClass with your institution credential
    A randomly-generated session cookie will be stored. It is necessary for Us to communicate with your institution and provide the Single Sign-On service.
    The cookie does not contain any personally identifiable information, is used by the AClass website and your institution, and will only be exchanged with your institution.
    The cookie can be removed after you logging into AClass.

To visitors who sign in via your institution's credential

Our communication with your institution is governed by Hong Kong Access Federation (HKAF). You may refer to their privacy policy for details.

Your institution may also send and store additional cookies for various reasons. Please contact your institution for more information.
